Information for asylum seekers:

Welcoming address from the mayoress

Dear guests and asylum seekers,
Dear citizens,

For a large number of different reasons many people from troubled regions can no longer stay in their homeland and are looking for somewhere new to live, where – perhaps even only temporarily – a life with new perspectives is possible. The large number of those seeking asylum in Europe poses a big challenge for governments, towns and districts, which can only be overcome by everyone working together. The district of Hünfelden is prepared to tackle the tasks and challenges, resulting from current developments.

Active and dedicated integration helpers have been offering their support in the most varied aspects of life in our district since the beginning of 2014. Their work enables the people who have fled from injustice, war and misery to feel that they have a future and can become more optimistic about their lives once again.

Together with the “Working Committee for Integration“ and our partners, we want this website to provide the most important information for refugees, integration helpers and for all citizens.

Your mayoress

Silvia Scheu-Menzer
